Here you will learn about the vape laws in France in 2026. Generally, vape laws in France are as per the overarching TPD rules except in the following areas. All EU markets are required to notify vape products but some market are not required to notify nicotine-free products (see section below).

France vape regulation is laid down in the Public Health Code, via Ordinance 2016‑623 and Law 2016‑41 transposed from EU Tobacco Products Directive 2014/40/EU.
The Ministry of Health (specifically ANSES – Agence nationale de sécurité sanitaire de l’alimentation, de l’environnement et du travail) is the primary body for TPD compliance and notifications via EU-CEG.
Cross-border sales of nicotine-containing vapes in France is permitted.
Retailers in France are not required to register before selling vapes (TBC).
There are no specific lab testing requirements.

Yes, single-use, non-refillable electronic vaping devices are banned in France (Ref Law No. 2025-175).
